  14.     BY INSTALLING OS/ASSIST ON YOUR  SYSTEM YOU INDICATE YOUR AGREEMENT  TO
  15.     THE FOLLOWING TERMS  AND CONDITIONS. IF  YOU DO NOT  AGREE TO THEM  YOU
  16.     ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THIS PROGRAM.

  18.     OS/ASSIST AND  THE ACCOMPANYING  PROGRAMS AND  DOCUMENTATION (LATER  ON
  19.     COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO  AS OS/ASSIST) ARE  DISTRIBUTED AS IS.   OASIS
  20.     SUNRISE SOFTWARE (AUTHOR) MAKES NO  WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED  OR
  21.     IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY  OR
  22.     FITNESS FOR  A PARTICULAR  PURPOSE, WITH  RESPECT TO  THIS SOFTWARE AND

  29.     OS/ASSIST is  a copyrighted  work protected  by U.S.  and international
  30.     copyright law. It is  not free, freeware, or  in the public domain.  It
  31.     is distributed as Shareware, which means that you may try it out at  no
  32.     cost for three weeks; if you determine that it fits your needs and  you
  33.     wish to use it regularly you must  register.  If you choose not to  pay
  34.     the registration fee, you must  stop using OS/ASSIST after the  initial
  35.     trial period and remove it from  your computer, but you may still  keep
  36.     copies of it and pass them on to others as outlined below.

  38.     You  may  give  individual  copies  of  the  unregistered  version   of
  39.     OS/ASSIST to  your friends  and associates  for evaluation  purposes as
  40.     described above.   You must  include all  the files  (described in  the
  41.     README.TXT  file)  that  make  up  OS/ASSIST without any modifications,
  42.     preferably in  the original  self-extracting LHarc  archive files.  You
  43.     may upload OS/ASSIST  to the public  section of a  public BBS, but  you
  44.     may not place it in any user group or commercial library or  distribute
  45.     it for a fee  or in any way  sell copies of it  without express written
  46.     permission from the Author.

  48.     Under  no  circumstances  may  an  unregistered version of OS/ASSIST be
  49.     used in a commercial (business, corporate, government, educational,  or
  50.     other institutional) environment except  for the purpose of  evaluation
  51.     on a single computer.

  53.     You  may  not  modify  or  disassemble  OS/ASSIST,  nor  distribute any
  54.     modified or disassembled versions of  OS/ASSIST.  OS/ASSIST may not  be
  55.     included  with  any  other  product  for  any reason whatsoever without
  56.     written permission from the Author.

  58.     You may  install your  registered copy  of OS/ASSIST  on more  than one
  59.     computer at  a time  ONLY if  no more  than one  of these  computers is
  60.     usually running at the  same time. You may  make as many backup  copies
  61.     of OS/ASSIST as you need for your personal backup purposes.

  63.     You  may  NOT  give,  sell,  or  otherwise  transfer copies of the reg-
  64.     istered version of OS/ASSIST to any other person for any reason.

  66.     No version of OS/ASSIST may be rented or leased.

  68.     Any  use  or  distribution  of  OS/ASSIST,  which violates this license
  69.     agreement, will be considered a copyright violation, and prosecuted  to
  70.     the full extent of the law.

  75.     Registration

  77.     OS/ASSIST is not free!  You may try it out at no charge for an  initial
  78.     trial  period  to  determine  if  it  fits  your needs.  If you want to
  79.     continue  to  use  OS/ASSIST  after  the  initial trial period you must
  80.     register.  This method of software distribution is known as Shareware.

  82.     The registration fee for a single  copy of OS/ASSIST is (US $)  $14.95.
  83.     Payment of this fee entitles you to:

  85.       * A disk with the current version of OS/ASSIST.
  86.  
  87.       * A printed manual.
  88.  
  89.       * Free upgrades of OS/ASSIST for a one year period.
  90.  
  91.       * Free support (by electronic mail or by mail) for the first 90
  92.         days after  payment,  consisting of  answering questions  and
  93.         fixing any  reproducible program  error(s) that  interfere(s)
  94.         with the  intended use  of the  program as  outlined in  this
  95.         documentation. The  author  may choose  not  to fix  problems
  96.         related to a  special hardware and/or  software configuration
  97.         and will then arrange  for a refund of the  registration fee,
  98.         if the  problem is reported  within 90  days of payment.  The
  99.         author makes no  other warranties, expressed or  implied, and
  100.         this warranty is expressly limited to the cost  of the regis-
  101.         tration fee.

  103.     OS/ASSIST  must  be  registered  before  it  is  used  in  a commercial
  104.     (business, corporate, government, educational, or other  institutional)
  105.     environment.

  107.     The following  per-unit prices  apply for  registration of  one or more
  108.     copies of OS/ASSIST on the same order form:

  117.     THESE PRICES INCLUDE  ONE MASTER DISKETTE  PER ORDER.   The licensee is
  118.     responsible for duplicating the  diskette and documentation as  needed,
  119.     and for ensuring that the registered number of installed copies is  not
  120.     exceeded.  Under  this schedule SUPPORT  IS PROVIDED TO  ONE DESIGNATED
  121.     REPRESENTATIVE OF THE LICENSEE ONLY.
